It’s official…. “A legislative investigation” in Alaska “has concluded that Gov. Sarah Palin abused her power in pushing for the firing of an Alaska state trooper who was once married to her sister, or by failing to prevent her husband Todd from doing so.”
The report by investigator Steve Branchflower was made public late this afternoon [...]

John McCain and Sarah Palin have been busy in recent days trying to paint Barack Obama as un-American. But, according to David Talbot, it’s time to ask who’s calling who un-American: “The Palins’ un-American activities.”
Talbot exposes some very ugly info on the company the Palin’s have been keeping in Alaska:

The vice-presidential debates proved one thing. At the very least, Sarah Palin can be trained.
For several days, she had camped out in one of John McCain’s Arizona houses, where she underwent Debate Boot camp conducted by drill instructors who make Marine DIs appear to be slaggers.
With a few “darns,” “betchas,” and “ya”s, Palin [...]

(From WaPo, performing a valuable service.)
McCain: “Gov. Sarah Palin “knows more about energy than probably anyone in the United States of America.”
Palin: “My job has been to oversee nearly 20 percent of the U.S. domestic supply of oil and gas.”
The truth: “While Alaska is a leading producer of crude oil, it produces relatively little [...]

Today is my oldest son’s 19th birthday and I rolled in just past my bedtime after attending a concert in a neighboring city, last night. Although, I’m a tad wound up, I am still a bit tired, so I’m keeping today’s Ten Post Round-Up short and sweet. The goal, today, is to describe each link [...]

Last week, I did my level best to stay out of the political fray, but to no avail. So, I officially give up. And, since our politicians aren’t giving up, I guess I might as well just dive in and go for the gold.
Today’s Ten Post Round-Up is designed to show you just how bad [...]

Gidget and The Geezer probably don’t lie every time they open their mouths. I’m sure that sometimes they just misspeak themselves through the rationalization that if a ton of their B.S. was screened carefully enough at least one kernel of truth would almost certainly be found. Take the situation regarding the contribution made to U.S. energy [...]

While Sarah Palin was mayor of Wasilla, rape victims had to pay for their own rape kits.
__________
I wrote about this yesterday over at my place (from Feministing), and it’s nice to see the media — McClatchy and USA Today, for example — pick up on what is surely one of the more disgusting stories about [...]

Whoops! Got a little chatty with the ol’ ball n’ chain the ol’ man SSG Dizzy, today, then got caught up in a lot of necessary real life stuff. Who knew growing a rock could be so much work (true story)? Except for that time of month, “better late than never”, I always say.
Today’s Ten [...]

A lot has been said in the mainstream media about Sarah Palin’s positions on various points of policy. As television viewers we have been subjected to hearing trivial items about her life such as winning a beauty pageant two decades ago from some no name town of a few thousand people. However, very little has [...]

I hate these days when I feel as though I don’t get anything done. Today was one of them. Juggling a small business and a blog can be a bit much sometimes and now I have added in the prospect of picking up and moving cross country. Well, my plate is full and my cup [...]

Oh my… “Sarah Palin is trying to seduce independent voters. But she comes across like a whip-wielding mistress who wants to discipline a naughty America.”
At a conscious level, the Republican duo are masquerading as reformers who will “clean up Washington.” But their unconscious appeal may be more important. By choosing Palin, McCain and the GOP [...]
