Rep. Michelle Bachmann screwed the pooch on Chris Matthews Hardball last week suggesting that the press investigate the Congresspeople who were Anti-American. She was also concerned that Obama himself was Anti-American. (Anti-American members of Congress?) That charge started a deluge of donations for her opponent, Elwyn Tinklenberg, of over $1.4 million cash being now used [...]

It isn’t often that you see Pat Buchanan and Rush Limbaugh flailing wildly, flecks of foam forming around their political pottymouths. But in the last 24 hours, that’s exactly what I’ve witnessed.
The Party of Lincoln™ bears about as much resemblance TO Lincoln as a grubworm does to a supernova. It is all topsy-turvy: voter suppression, [...]

During the final debate last week, Barack Obama called John McCain on the negative ads, saying that 100 percent of his radio and TV ads were negative. Not true, replied McCain. True, according to the Advertising Project at the University of Wisconsin. Almost every ad in a one-week period before the debate was [...]

Finally! I heard a report on NPR this morning and the Obama website confirms that the Democratic presidential campaign is going to ramp up efforts to discuss health care this week. Over the next week Sen. Obama will hold over two dozen events in nine battleground states with health care as a major point of [...]

The NY Times reports that members of Congress indicated earlier today that “they were close to hashing out an agreement on a proposed $700 billion bailout of the financial system, hours before a meeting at the White House to complete the deal.”
There’s no doubt about it, our financial system is in a fine freakin’ mess [...]

I totally slipped up not posting, yesterday. I had to get a new phone and my dealer hooked me up with the lastest form of crack, also known as the Blackberry (Curve, flavored). I just want to thank John McCain
for making that possible.
I started researchin’ for today’s Ten Post Round-Up and I had this whole [...]

There’s still more discussion today on the “lipstick on a pig” kerfluffle and how the “controversy is ginned up, a fraud, a lie.” Michael Kinsley points out on the WaPo that continuing to discuss it is “falling into the trap that McCain’s people have set and perpetuating this ridiculous controversy,” but he says:
[...] the routine [...]

Say what? The McCain campaign had an ad up that was ‘misleading.’
Via Politico:
YouTube has removed a webad that casts Sarah Palin as the victim of sexism on the request of CBS, whose anchor Katie Couric was featured in the ad.
“One of the great lessons of that campaign is the continued and accepted role of sexism [...]

Whoops! Got a little chatty with the ol’ ball n’ chain the ol’ man SSG Dizzy, today, then got caught up in a lot of necessary real life stuff. Who knew growing a rock could be so much work (true story)? Except for that time of month, “better late than never”, I always say.

The sleeze is flying from the McCain camp:
It’s going to be a long ugly 2 months as we settle into general election season and the lies and insults are flying from the right wing and Republican presidential candidate John McCain. McClatchy News, one of the few fair and balanced factions of the media has the [...]

The latest campaign ad from John McCain contends today that his running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, “stopped the Bridge to Nowhere.”
But in truth, Sarah Palin “was for the infamous bridge before she was against it.” AP explains in a Fact Check and the WSJ notes that the “Record Contradicts Palin’s ‘Bridge’ Claims.”
Interestingly, there’s “more than one “bridge to [...]
