Dizzy’s Ten Post Round-Up

Great Hoogally-Moogally! The writers’ strike is over and the Academy Awards will go on, as scheduled, tonight! The “Oscars” have always been sort of a big deal in our home, where we play “guess the winner” (and I always win). This year, I’ll probably skip them because I haven’t really been keeping up with what movies or stars, etc. got nominations, this year. Well…except “Sweeney Todd” and Johnny Depp (I know I promised ya’ll a review ages ago…get off...

Dizzy’s Ten Post Round-Up

You would not believe what I have been going through the last few weeks…well, maybe you could. It’s just that I have been so bogged down with a massive to-do list that would not go away, it seemed like it was out to get me, making it difficult to prioritize anything or kill the tasks in front me. Dizzy’s Ten Post Round-Up

There is so much going on in the world, today, it’s getting hard to keep up. That’s why I had to go out and upgrade my coffee mugs. He really tried, though. In a Feb. 15 speech, the President, mad at yet another delay in voting on the Protect America...

According to Lil’ Dizzy, tomorrow is “Happy Valentine’s Day” and she is very excited about what Cupid is going to leave for her. I’m excited, too, since I noticed a very large expenditure in our bank account and I have been assured by SSG Dizzy that our account has not been hacked by his distant Nigerian cousins. Sadly, Cupid probably wouldn’t make it into this country, if he had to cross the border (via land or air), since he...

NAACP Head Wants Barred Delegates Seated

Hello? I wonder why no one else has caught on to this and made the point that “refusing to seat the states’ delegations could remind voters of the ‘sordid history of racially discriminatory primaries.’” On Feb 8, NAACP chairman Julian Bond sent DNC Chairman Howard Dean a letter expressing “great concern at the prospect that million of voters in Michigan and Florida could ultimately have their votes completely discounted.” Sphere: Related Content
