I guess you can say that I grew up in one of those typical working class homes. Both parents worked and my father worked overtime as much as possible to earn a little extra cash to provide a few niceties we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to afford. I grew up with a fairly simple […]

Obama has yet to show he can consistently win a majority of racial groups beyond African Americans. He’s loses Hispanics and Asian Americans in addition to white voters, by similar 65-35 margins. Three separate races are voting for Hillary Clinton, and by similar numbers. One race is voting for Barack Obama, and in near unanymity. […]

Obama predicted he’d win IN and NC a long time ago and Zogby suggests he’s up in both states. An IN win for Hill will be huge and coming at all close in NC will be a big win for her as well since Obama should win NC handily.
No doom and gloom for me. This […]

I’ve been really, really sick the last several days so haven’t been able to do much. My throat is still rather sore and I’m coughing too much to make calls. But I’m sure you all will cover for me and make calls or give money, right?
I never get excited about political candidates the way I […]

To me, Obama is one the most cynical politicians I’ve ever come across. The “Mitt Romney” of the Democrats, if you will. The last paragraph of this article doesn’t make me trust Obama any more (h/t commenter at Corrente):
“If Barack gets past the primary, he might have to publicly distance himself from me,” Mr. Wright […]

One thing that has bothered me throughout this election has been anti-Hillary people referring to Hillary Clinton as “Mrs. Bill”. It was clearly meant to demean her accomplishments and very reminiscent of the Matthews-esque nonsense that Hillary only got where she did because of Monica. (That particularly bothers me because I think Hillary will be […]

If the last dozen states have taught us anything it’s that Obama will get over 90% of the African American vote in North Carolina. Personally, that doesn’t bother me. If there were a similarly viable Hispanic candidate, I’d be pretty darn excited about her or his candidacy. (In fact, there was such a candidate, Bill […]

Fresh off her resounding defeat of Obama in Pennsylvania and her incredible haul of $10 million in one night, Hillary Clinton challenges Obama to a one-on-one Lincoln-Douglas style debate. Will Obama, now on the ropes, accept? Or is he afraid to face little ol’ Hill one-on-one, just like he’s afraid to face FL and MI […]

A couple days ago, I said that Barack Obama is not “the” Democratic Party. Well, via Riverdaughter, I find this tidbit at The Page, suggesting the DNC thinks otherwise:
After a series of discussions, the Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee have decided to file papers with the Federal Election Commission establishing a “joint fundraising […]

I guess I’ll say it: Barack Obama is not “the” Democratic Party.
Is Barack Obama a Democrat? Sure. Do I disagree with him on some things? Sure. Do I agree with him on other things? Sure. Democrats are a diverse group. No one individual is “the” Democratic Party. Criticism of Obama is not criticism of the […]

Since some had issues with the country music and Metallica/SF Symphony, here’s a song from middle school. It’s in your hands PA. Make calls! Hillary can use all the help she can get.
