Apparently columnist Robert Novak’s victim is worse than the news first reported. WJLA reports ”a hospital source told ABC 7 News,” that the victim is in “worse shape than first thought” and the WaPo has confirmed:
The Washington Post confirmed the victim’s identity to be 66-year-old Don Lilkinquist. A source who saw Lilkinquist said he had appeared somewhat incoherent. Lilkinquist also appeared to have casts on [...]

Hillary Clinton returned to work in the Senate yesterday. She had a hero’s welcome from her colleagues and found in “her months-long absence,” as her aide Philippe Reines cautioned, “things have gotten a little casual” in her office. As Clinton “swung open the door of her private office” she found “two of her legislative assistants in [...]

The proposed program would allow FHA to help troubled borrowers reduce their interest rates if the actual lenders went along with a cut in the principal amount of the loan.
This is in the lenders best interest because in a majority of circumstances the fair market value of the home no longer offers security for the [...]

In a reversal from it’s endorsement of Hillary Clinton, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, the largest part of the AFL-CIO, will endorse and support Barack Obama.
“Barack Obama has mobilized a historic movement to reclaim the greatness of America,” Gerald McEntee, AFSCM President, said. “With his leadership, our nation will rise [...]

In today’s WaPo Dana Milbank uses his column to bite The Dark Lord, (no, not He-Who-Shall-Not-Be Named), VP Dick Cheney square on the ass while reporting also on Dennis Kucinch’s futile attempt to impeach George Bush. That effort died a quick death.
“Why so unwilling to impeach Bush? As Democratic leaders like to say, two words: [...]

Former Bush Administration press secretary Scott McClellan has written a memoir: “What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington’s Culture of Deception,” that is a harsh critique on “the man he served for close to a decade.” Confirming what we all know at this point, McClellan writes in his memoir that “the Iraq war was [...]

Much has been said here over the past months about the sexism that Hillary Clinton has confronted throughout her campaign. The WaPo has a piece today on the subject and the fact that Hillary Clinton is vowing to “battle on” with her campaign.
Women of all ages and nationalities push against the rope line carrying books and [...]

Despite the calls from the pundits, surrogates and “creative class” bloggers for Obama, two new polls show strong support for the Democratic race for the nomination to continue.
The first poll from ABC News/Washington Post shows that “64 percent of Democrats in the latest poll say Clinton should remain in the race,” and “even among Obama’s supporters, 42 [...]
