Well, okay, it has some credibility left, but much less now that it’s hired Weekly Standard conspiracy theorist Stephen F. Hayes as a contributor.
If you don’t know Hayes — and call yourself lucky if you don’t — he’s made something a name for himself over the past several years pushing the now-discredited Iraq-al Qaeda link, [...]

Want another reason not to watch Fox News? And another reason not to take it seriously?
It has hired Judy Miller as an analyst.
That would be Judith Miller, former New York Times reporter, Scooter Libby buddy, Ahmed Chalabi confidante, and Iraq War cheerleader. As the WaPo’s Howard Kurtz puts it, nicely, “she is nothing if not [...]

I was in a coffee shop having breakfast when I first heard, from a pilot friend of mine, that a plane had hit the WTC. I told him to stop joking around about crap like that and then realized he was serious.
Something impelled me to rush back to my condo and turn on the news. [...]

Say what? The McCain campaign had an ad up that was ‘misleading.’
Via Politico:
YouTube has removed a webad that casts Sarah Palin as the victim of sexism on the request of CBS, whose anchor Katie Couric was featured in the ad.
“One of the great lessons of that campaign is the continued and accepted role of sexism [...]

By the time you read this post you will either have recovered from the Palin Speech Drinking Game or had enough Pepto to settle your tummy. Of course, if you are like me, you probably opted for a refreshing rerun of CSI.
For those of you who prefer your Republican/Conservative news in bite-size portions, today’s Ten [...]

Via Politico:
After a segment with NBC’s Chuck Todd ended today, Republican consultant Mike Murphy and Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan were caught on a live mike ridiculing the choice of Sarah Palin.
Watch here:
Those talking heads and guests will never learn… As Politico notes, “Noonan’s blunt call contrasted with her conflicted column today saying Palin [...]

You’ve got to give McCain credit. By welcoming Palin into his campaign, he sure livened things up quite a bit in this election (and no, I’m not referring to you-know-what, unless you know what is a bridge or something).
Truth be told, I don’t blame him for his (apparently) monumental screw-up. There was not much more [...]

Joe Biden, current chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and past Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, has officially been chosen as the presumptive Vice Presidential nominee for the Democratic Party in 2008 as Barack Obama’s running mate. Joe Biden is known for many things. His foreign policy experience heads the list but it could [...]

The Chicago Sun Times reported today that “Robert Novak has announced his immediate retirement following the diagnosis of a brain tumor, a prognosis the Sun-Times’ political columnist describes as “dire.””
“The details are being worked out with the doctors this week, but the tentative plan is for radiation and chemotherapy,” Novak said.
Novak had announced on July [...]

As we all know The New Yorker Magazine posted the most obnoxious cover in recent memory with it’s ’satire’ of Barack and Michelle Obama. It was so obnoxious that I won’t post the graphic or even link to the magazine. They don’t deserve the traffic.
Vanity Fair has taken on the topic and has written a [...]

Over the weekend I put up a quick reference link to a growing controversy involving AP News and the blogosphere. Rogers Cadenhead, publisher of the Drudge Retort sent out an email to fellow liberal bloggers late last week stating that he had received a “letter to the Drudge Retort asking it to remove seven items [...]
