Ninety Minutes after Barack Obama’s acceptance speech at Grant Park in Chicago, 60 Minutes sat down with the senior campaign team for an interview. This is fascinating stuff and a very inside look at the campaign.

We did it!!!! Obama routed John McCain in a full on electoral college sweep. 333 Electoral Votes and 51% of the popular vote. Add to that sweet victory: Democrats unseat GOP House incumbents.

At exactly 11:01 EST MSNBC and every other news organization has called the 2008 Presidential election for Barack Obama. The scene with hundreds of thousands of people in Chicago at Grant Park is one of happiness, tears and celebration.
Like the song says, ’signed, sealed, delivered I’m yours.’ That’s President-Elect Obama’s message to us tonight. Can you [...]

Sarah Palin has received much deserved criticism on everything from her position of issues, to her lavish wardrobe, to her lack of regular reading, but on election day I thought I would give her a single point of praise. Palin’s so called release of her medical records showed that her primary care provider is a [...]

I’ve been lax in blogging since my cross country move to Maine. Settling in here and unpacking has taken up most of my time, but I did not want to let election day pass without chiming in.
Karl Rove has predicted an Electoral blow out for Barack Obama today:
According to the final 2008 polling map posted on [...]

This is a great video. An elementary school in Palm Beach, Florida has their own TV news channel, The KEC News Report. They recruit their own grade school reporters, camera people, etc. They really do report the news. The news this day was the speech by Joe Biden at a campaign event.
Notice the competence of [...]

It’s a little more than a week before the presidential election, and I’m worried about what happens afterwards. I’m not worried about the candidates, the people, or the country. I’m worried about the media.
First, I’m worried about the TV ad salespeople. For more than a year they haven’t had to do much other [...]

Rep. Michelle Bachmann screwed the pooch on Chris Matthews Hardball last week suggesting that the press investigate the Congresspeople who were Anti-American. She was also concerned that Obama himself was Anti-American. (Anti-American members of Congress?) That charge started a deluge of donations for her opponent, Elwyn Tinklenberg, of over $1.4 million cash being now used [...]

There are many signs of a Republican revolt. It ranges from wide spread dissatisfaction or outright conversion to the Democratic nominee Barack Obama. Yesterday the was the defection of CC Goldwater and her siblings. Even Neo-Con Ken Adelmann has switched reportedly switched to Obama along with Susan Eisenhower , a former constitutional legal counsel to [...]

The Republicans themselves seem to think it’s possible:
An internal document circulating among House Republicans warns of an impending congressional bloodbath, listing 58 Republican-held House seats being at risk, and 11 already considered as good as gone. As many as 34 GOP-held seats are in serious jeopardy of swinging to Democrats, the assessment shows.
What with the [...]

From Josh Marshall:
If you’re thinking to yourself that there’s little more than two weeks before election day and Obama has a solid lead in the polls, don’t be so sure.
Yes, it looks good for the Democrats. But you need to play close attention to the McCain campaign’s final weeks’ strategy under and just above the [...]

During the final debate last week, Barack Obama called John McCain on the negative ads, saying that 100 percent of his radio and TV ads were negative. Not true, replied McCain. True, according to the Advertising Project at the University of Wisconsin. Almost every ad in a one-week period before the debate was [...]
