Weirdness in Alaska.
We have this odd situation where Ted Stevens, who was polled 22 points down to his challenger after his conviction on seven felony counts of bribery and corruption, is, oddly, winning an Alaskan election where voter turnout is LOWER than it was in 2004.

Mike Collins. writes on the Zogby Poll on Electronic Voting, commissioned by election law attorney Paul Lehto which overwhelmingly shows voter awareness of flaws in electronic voting as well as opposition to secret software and near universal support for citizens being able to observe vote counting.

In anticipation of two upcoming votes in Irag, the Pentagon has ordered more troops to Iraq.
