Barack Obama has two key messages for everyone that supports his effort to become the President. First, don’t take the polls at face value. Second, work, work, work!
As he keeps saying at every stop and in every interview, turnout of his voters is crucial to his victory. He tells his crowds and newspeople to take [...]

Paraguay just had an election. The “leftist” won.
The whole problem with allowing poor countries to have real elections is that it’s guaranteed that there will be a candidate to run the country who talks about using national resources to benefit the national population. Well, if you let people vote for things that are in their [...]

On 6-17-2005, I was already dismayed enough by the increasingly angry disagreements within the Progressive Blogsphere that I wrote an article about effective persuasion, communication and it’s impact on campaigns at my old blog The Political Dogfight. I also recorded a more detailed view in a 10 minute audio that was published at my audio [...]

Nothing anyone says to me will convince me that the fight to seat the delegates from Florida and Michigan (my home state) is nothing less than a fight for the voting rights of the 2.3 million people who turned out for their state primaries in January. The voters did not set the dates - and [...]

Big Tent Democrat notes on Talk Left that Obama gave a speech in MO, before the polls closed in WVa. A little tacky? Kinda… But we already know Obama is looking beyond W Va although the results there could matter.
BTD also notes early exit polls from WVa:

Despite the calls from the pundits, surrogates and “creative class” bloggers for Obama, two new polls show strong support for the Democratic race for the nomination to continue.
The first poll from ABC News/Washington Post shows that “64 percent of Democrats in the latest poll say Clinton should remain in the race,” and “even among Obama’s supporters, 42 [...]

NBC News reported a few hours ago that “helicopters carrying three senior U.S. senators made emergency landings Thursday in the mountains of Afghanistan because of a snowstorm.”
Sens. John Kerry, Joseph Biden and Chuck Hagel were aboard the aircraft. No one was injured, according a statement from Kerry’s office. The senators and their delegation returned to [...]

DemDaily shall attempt to bring you news periodically throughout the evening. Time willing the updates will be more frequent starting around 6PM PST.
More as time permits. Of course it’ll be a late evening. Hang in there!
A question: Why the hell are CNN and others calling states which can impact voting in other states yet to [...]

WaPo-ABC’s latest national poll shows Hillary Clinton still leading, as she has for the last three weeks, by 4 points with undecideds at 5 points. Today’s WaPo headline, “Obama, Clinton Are Even In Poll”, however, is wrong in substance and tone. While the Clinton lead in this poll is within the margin of error, two [...]

Just for fun, another meaningless exercise on another routine Saturday morning. CNN runs a web site which holds itself out as a place where 2008 Presidential Primary results can be found in a variety of formats. I’m sure that inquiring minds want to know, so I simply applied my calculator to what I found there [...]

The Clinton campaign announced on Friday that Rick, Louis, Ben and Bill Bolaños were endorsing Hillary Clinton for president. They were named National Co-Chairs of Veterans and Military Retirees for Hillary.
The Bolaños family is the only family in the U.S. to ever have four brothers serve in the Vietnam war at the same time. In 1966, Rick Bolaños joined [...]
