Be aware, there are about 7 shopping days left before the Jolly Fat Dude arrives. I just wanted to remind those of you who act as Santa’s “authorized agent” to get moving. It’s pretty obvious that the U.S. doesn’t need to build an expensive and controversial missile defense system in Europe so that parts okay. But it’s equally clear that we should be focused on trying to shrink the overall size of the U.S. military, so you have to wonder whose side these folks are on that [...]

Is there anyone out there who still harbors the delusion that George Bush or most of his administration possesses the slightest shred of human integrity or the tiniest morsel of respect for the truth, for law, for the people of this country or any other?

Got Debt? Who doesn’t these days…
Democrats on the Hill are gearing up to take on the credit card companies and their “abusive practices that trap borrowers in an endless debt cycle.” As the economy sinks even lower due to the housing market slump, consumers are trapped in a vicious cycle with debt. Adding to the [...]

“Gay rights” has never really been one of my issues, but it’s clear to me that we have a double standard as a society and now it’s on my radar screen. The latest news out of the military seems to place the whole issue in a particularly striking light, and it certainly does merit some [...]

The GOP has been running short with fundraising for months now. They can’t seem to catch up to the Dems who have created an enormous fundraising gap for the GOP. So, in a bind, the GOP is turing to candidates who can bankroll their own campaigns:
Republican Party officials are aggressively recruiting wealthy candidates who can [...]

Perhaps it’s simply a bad day, but I’m fed up.
* I’m fed up with Senator Obama saying his experience between the ages of 6 and 10 years old is a prime reason he understands international relations better than his opponents. Jesus goddamn christ, Buddha-in-a-skirt, Moses-lost-on-a-hogfarm, (there did I miss offending anyone?),how simply stupid have our [...]
