A quick thought on John McCain’s bad weekend… Let’s hope it’s a trend for McCain. Because John McCain doesn’t really know what Iraqi’s or American’s want. Barack Obama knows American’s want out of Iraq and he’s in Iraq scoping out the facts on the ground.

Just a quick note to readers… The upgrade I mentioned in my post below has been completed. We are now running on the latest version of Word Press. I haven’t had a chance to fully look through the new features, but will later tonight.

I’ve been messing around today with Plugins and getting ready to upgrade The Dem Daily to the latest version of Word Press. We have a new comment platform and I’ve done away with the comment preview feature. The new comment platform does have spell check.
Just a word of warning… I’m getting ready to start the [...]

Katharine Q. Seelye of the NY Times is at Netroots Nation and she reports that members of the netroots are swearing off their “use of profanity” in the blogosphere… or at least some say they “have scaled back” on it.
Digby Parton, who writes on Hullabaloo.com, said she initially thought of her blog as an ephemeral [...]

There’s two weekend must reads on Jane Mayer’s new book, The Dark Side, The Inside Story of How the War on Terror Turned into a War on American Ideals.
First check out the review by Andrew J. Bacevich, in the WaPo: Collateral Damage:

Hillary Clinton is not backing down on seating the Florida and Michigan delegates with out a fight, she says. Clinton said today that “she is willing to take her fight to seat Florida and Michigan delegates to the convention if the two states want to go that far.”
In an interview with The Associated Press, Clinton was [...]

Late last night I watched the video below about Clinton supporters who plan to actively campaign against Barack Obama as the nominee, and vote for John McCain:

Color me perplexed as to the reasoning from these women… One of their primary reasons is the sexism that Clinton has weathered during the campaign. But why on Earth, [...]

Despite of the fact that he was defeated soundly by large margins in West Virginia and again tonight in Kentucky, Barack Obama is touting that the nomination is within reach (with the help of the Obama-media). But… For many Democrats voting today, there’s a sense of dis-satisfaction that is troubling. Marc Ambinder notes:
In Kentucky, 8 in [...]

As I expected she would… Today in Rapid City, SD, Hillary Clinton went to bat for Barack Obama in the wake of Bush’s comparison of him to Neville Chamberlain, Ken Vogel reports (via Politico).
She told reporters:
President Bush’s comparison of any Democrat to Nazi appeasers is both offensive and outrageous on the face of it, especially [...]

John Edwards endorsed Barack Obama tonight in Grand Rapids, Michigan:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzkAjd3xQ7w
The media and blogosphere are abuzz as to the hows and whys of Edwards stepping up to endorse Obama when the race is down to the finish line with just a few primaries left, but the endorsement does come ”at a time when the appeal of Mr. [...]
