Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in an interview on Monday that she would not run for president again. Clinton was asked three different time by NBC’s Ann Curry and each time her response was “No.”
“This is a great job,” Clinton said in the interview broadcast Monday. “It is a 24-7 job. And I am [...]

Sarah Palin announced today that she was not running for re-election and stepping down from her office as Governor by the end of the month:
The top speculation is that Palin is resigning so that she can focus solely on running for the Republican nomination in 2012. But there’s plenty of other speculation too.

The dead:
Dozens of specially trained agents work on the third floor of DCM Services here, calling up the dear departed’s next of kin and kindly asking if they want to settle the balance on a credit card or bank loan, or perhaps make that final utility bill or cellphone payment.
The people on the other end [...]

Dateline Phoenix (UK.Reuters):
“Today, as a result of declining home values, millions of families are “underwater,” which means they owe more on their mortgages than their homes are worth. These families are unable to sell their homes, and unable to refinance them. So in the event of a job loss or another emergency, their options are [...]

It’s time to “ignore Republicans’ demands about the stimulus plan” and every other issue that they have roadblocked and stonewalled in the past that comes up again. Democrats have the majority and it’s time to get moving on issues that are most important to the American people.
In reacting to last night’s vote in the House [...]

Laura Tyson a very qualified economics professor, commentator and former member of the Clinton administrator appeared on The Rachel Maddow show. She was there as expert on the topic of the $750 billion Wall Street bail-out bill. It was an informative conversation. Tyson’s very good at her job and so was Rachael Maddow for asking [...]

It seems as if everybody is coming down from their collective presidential election hang-over. President-elect Barack Obama has already begun picking the people who will be in his administration (much to the chagrin of many Progressives). President Bush is continuing his lame-duck administration, unfortunately, that doesn’t include another lengthy vacation on the Crawford ranch.
Right now, [...]

I have to say Barack Obama touched my heart deeply and resulted in frank, overt emotion. It was a series of stories with brilliant, honest connections that we all can understand.
Think of it: His own emotional story of his mother’s death. The horrid story of the woman without the insurance for her medications. Imagine the [...]

Rednecks for Obama are back in the news again today. I wrote about them back in late August. Here’s the latest:
Tony Viessman, 74, and Les Spencer, 60, got politically active last year when it occurred to them there must be other lower income, rural, beer-drinking, gun-loving, NASCAR race enthusiasts fed up with business as usual [...]

I’ve been a Communications Director. I’ve been in the back of the room restating my candidates words to best effect. I’m good at it. Sorry. That’s not modest yet I believe it true. I’ve sure had a lot of practice trying to bring voters to my candidates point of view or candidacy either in an [...]
