This is going to be very short. John McCain did better than I wanted. McCain was dismissive towards Obama. In several places McCain simply attacked Obama’s judgment and integrity. In the beginning Obama was tying McCain to Bush. Then he let him off the hook. Why?
When McCain was simply talking nothing but lies why the [...]

I fell behind on my reading last week due to my site’s move and the mild coma I lapsed into thanks to the Republican National Convention. John Kerry was on Face The Nation today and he gave John McCain a thrashing o the issue of Iraq. Kerry was responding to a question of whether Obama had flip-flipped on Iraq, and he made ti clear that “Barack Obama has a plan for getting out of Iraq.” Watch it here:
From Face The Nation:

Some of you may think I’m nuts in sharing this link, but like many of you, I was beyond stunned by the news today. Even though we don’t have the full picture yet, there are new sites and efforts springing up all over the net. One involves a petition drive regarding a joint ticket. I [...]

No matter what you think of the delegate rulings today, one thing is clear. By seating the delegates in any fashion, the RBC legitimized the popular vote tallies from FL and MI. This means Hillary can legitimately claim a net of over 600,000 votes today. No news source should report total popular vote numbers that [...]

Earlier today on a Obama campaign conference call with reporters Senator John Kerry questioned ”Republican presumptive nominee John McCain’s judgment and grasp of the facts about what’s going on Iraq.”
Yesterday, McCain said that U.S. forces in Iraq have “drawn down to pre-surge levels.” Kerry, citing figures that show the opposite, skewered his friend, fellow Vietnam War veteran and [...]

Discernment is the quality of being able to grasp what is obsure; the power to see what is not evident to the average mind; the act of exhibiting keen insight and good judgment; the keenness and accuracy of mental vision; the capacity of tracing out minute distinctions.
Certainly this is one of the most important qualities of a [...]

Cross posted from Article of Faith:
John Kerry is as American as apple pie and baseball…for real.
“The pending deal to shift Major League Baseball’s Extra Innings package exclusively to DirecTV starting in April is still not ready to be announced, but Senator John Kerry, Democrat of Massachusetts, would like to undo it.
“In that desire, he is [...]

Democratic Daily reader Sam Osborne emailed me this LTTE, that I felt was worth sharing in light of the agreement reached yesterday by the GOP on Bush’s “detainee bill.” It’s still ugly no matter how we frame it.
Bush apologists have wheeled out a straw man: a detainee possessing knowledge which if forced from his evil [...]
