On David Gregorie’s MSNBC news show, now renamed 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, hosted by a substitute anchor, Lawrence O’Donell and good ‘ol Pat B got into it pretty big time. O’Donell, finally fed up told Pat that his party celebrated ignorance. Finally O’Donell asked Pat if he believes in evolution. You absolutely must watch this video [...]

At exactly 11:01 EST MSNBC and every other news organization has called the 2008 Presidential election for Barack Obama. The scene with hundreds of thousands of people in Chicago at Grant Park is one of happiness, tears and celebration.
Like the song says, ’signed, sealed, delivered I’m yours.’ That’s President-Elect Obama’s message to us tonight. Can you [...]

Well, okay, it has some credibility left, but much less now that it’s hired Weekly Standard conspiracy theorist Stephen F. Hayes as a contributor.
If you don’t know Hayes — and call yourself lucky if you don’t — he’s made something a name for himself over the past several years pushing the now-discredited Iraq-al Qaeda link, [...]

I just watched, on MSNBC, a North Carolina speech by Barack Obama. It was the first time that Barack Obama had spoken of the passing of his beloved grandmother, who was a groundbreaker in her own right in Hawaii, early this morning. It was, as said by Pat Buchanan, ‘emotional, moving and authentic.’
Obama said, “She’s [...]

From misleading, or lying, robocalls to false flyers and even private investitgators showing up at people’s doors to question their legal status, the dirty tricks games are in full swing. Aimed at suppressing the vote of, primarily, minority voters they can work only if we let them.
First short excerpt of an analysis from AP per [...]

Wow. Last night’s Saturday Night Live was … well, not so funny.
SNL - Smooching Butt To Power
Or, actually it WAS funny, but not funny “ha ha.”
The opening sketch, Tina Fey as Sarah Palin with the actual John McCain going on QVC because McCain didn’t have enough money for any other network buy was kind of [...]

I didn’t know until today that Rachel Maddow is, in addition to being a very good radio host and funny as hell, also a Standford University graduate with a degree in Public Policy. Thereafter she was awarded a Rhodes scholarship where she received her Doctorate of Political Science degree. No wonder she’s smarter than I [...]

Per Chuck Todd at MSNBC here’s the latest on the possible variations on the electoral vote.
If this is true then there a blow out in progress for the Congress and potentially for the Senate. Remember, however, that people tend to vote one party for President and may vote for the other party for their home [...]

Flush from the rash of complimentary — if not to say gushing — reviews of Sarah Barracuda on Saturday Night Live, Wasilla’s Wonder Woman seemingly has made the decision to throw John McCain under the bus. Not that she’s alone in this assessment, if true.
Looking at it from her point of view, frankly, WHY does [...]

Dick Cheney had another episode of his arrhythmia condition and has now been released.
Per MSNBC and wire reports: Vice President Dick Cheney on Wednesday left a D.C. hospital after an outpatient procedure to restore his normal heart rhythm following a recurrence of atrial fibrillation, the White House said.
A spokeswoman said the procedure — an electric [...]

Maybe after I’ve had more time to think about this goddamn crap I’ll be able to give a better reading of the debate.
Obviously both Obama and McCain were more aggressive. The constant contradictions of each other wore on me deeply. There are definite written plans. Why can’t we get any newsperson or moderator who has [...]
