Former President Bill Clinton was taken to a New York City hospital today after experiencing chest pains. His office said that Clinton underwent a heart procedure.
Doctors inserted two stents into his native coronary artery after one of the bypass grafts from an operation five years ago became obstructed.
“President Clinton is in good spirits and will [...]

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived in Haiti today with supplies and comforting words for the Haitian people:
Meanwhile here in the U.S., former President Bill Clinton teamed up with George W. Bush at the request of President Obama to “lead a national drive to raise money for earthquake-ravaged Haiti.”
Former Presidents Clinton and Bush have created a [...]

The Cable on ForeignPolicy.com has an exclusive today, reporting that former president Bill Clinton is to be named the UN Special Envoy to Haiti:
A UN official confirmed to The Cable that there would be a formal announcement on this Tuesday.
The Clinton Foundation did not immediately respond to queries; nor did the White House.
In March, Bill [...]

Former President Bill Clinton was on The Today Show this morning. He gave team Obama some kudo’s on handling the economic stimulus bill, telling NBC’s Ann Curry that he thought President Barack Obama is “off to a good start.”
Clinton, who left his successor with a federal budget surplus, offers George W. Bush’s successor high marks for [...]

Across America more and more people are cutting back on meals and then finally when desperation and gnawing hunger set in, they are swallowing their pride and applying for food stamps.
Many struggling families with children also rely on the school nutrition programs to ensure that their children get meals while they are school. The much [...]

Everyone’s been looking for the Obama bounce in the polls. The Gallup Daily gives Obama a 6 point lead today:
The latest three-day Gallup Poll Daily tracking average (Aug. 25-27) is directly coincident with the first three days of the Democratic National Convention in Denver, and is no doubt beginning to reflect the typical convention “bounce” [...]

I’ll quote Ezra Klein on Bill Clinton’s incredible speech tonight, because Ezra says it all in his opening paragraph:
He left little unsaid. For all the talk of Bill Clinton’s anger, his resentment, his grudges, Clinton took the stage tonight and threw the full weight of his prestige behind Barack Obama. Leveraging that peculiar credibility that [...]

I was very sad to read earlier today that Stephanie Tubbs Jones had passed away. Tubbs Jones died “after suffering a brain hemorrhage caused by a burst aneurysm.” She was 58.
Hillary Rodham Clinton, whose presidential candidacy Tubbs Jones had embraced, and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, recalled Tubbs Jones as “one of a kind” [...]

Donnie jumped on me over at AoF for not having weighed in yet on the Vitter indiscretion, so I thought I’d share this via C&L.
You’ll remember the Senator’s statement: “This was a very serious sin in my past for which I am, of course, completely responsible. Several years ago, I asked for and received forgiveness [...]

LOL. “I would suggest that Republicans lost because they did not communicate their message and their victories with enough strength to overcome short-term, media-fed issues that arose right before the election,” Mr. DeLay writes in the book, “No Retreat, No Surrender” (Sentinel), referring in part to the Congressional page scandal.
“In typical take-no-prisoners fashion, Mr. [...]
