Blumenthal Pledges Federal Support In Wake Of Connecticut Shooting

Reacting to the horrific shooting in his home state, Sen. Death Toll Climbs In Conn. School Shooting

The number of dead left from a shooting inside an elementary school in Newtown, Conn., has risen to at least 27, including 18 children, according to a published report. The shooting, at Sandy Hook Elementary School, comes less than a week after a deadly rampage at an Oregon shopping mall. Police reported a gunman in the main office of the school at 9:40 am, according to a news story.
