Sometimes, people unintentionally define themselves by what they call others.
Take Republicans who say Barack Obama is a “socialist.” It just shows how far right-wing they are.
They pinned the “socialist” or “socialistic” label on the president when he was a candidate last year. Their man, John McCain, got clobbered.
Name-calling is about all [...]

[NOTE Nov. 18: This post has been featured today on Crooks and Liars (@"above the law"). Thanks Mike!]
I didn’t want to go here, and the country probably doesn’t, either, but Alan Keyes has decided to go there, and that means the gloves have to come off.

It is amazing she wouldn’t say she voted for her own Presidential candidate. I wonder if this isn’t an example of the problems within the McCain-Palin campaign. [UPDATE: It may be possible that Palin was answering a question about her vote on convicted Senator Ted Stevens when she said she 'would invoke her right to [...]

Apparently John McCain and his advisers are once again split on his tactics at tonight’s final debate of the 2008 election. One of the options is to use Rev. Wright as an attack device.
With Bob Schieffer of CBS News as the moderator it’s almost inevitable that he will bring up the last two week’s of [...]

Planned Parent is cashing in on Sarah Palin as the VP nominee for the Republican Party. John McCain’s running mate, Sarah Palin has been a “vocal opponent of abortion,” so pro-choice folks are ponying up to make a statement about Palin’s nomination by donating to Planned Parenthood in her name:
“Make a donation to Planned Parenthood,” [...]

Watching John McCain flip flop these days is like watching a whirling top spin out of control. McCain it seems has “2 faces” these days, one is the face of the Washington insider and the other is the face of the Washington outsider:
John McCain embraces and expels Washington like an accordion player belting out a [...]

I was really proud to support Hillary Clinton in the primaries and I loved her speech at the Democratic Convention last month. The line, “No Way, No How, No McCain” really struck a chord for me and a lot of other supporters as well.
Hillary was on the stump for Obama in Ohio on Sunday and [...]

Last week, I did my level best to stay out of the political fray, but to no avail. So, I officially give up. And, since our politicians aren’t giving up, I guess I might as well just dive in and go for the gold.
Today’s Ten Post Round-Up is designed to show you just how bad [...]

Sarah Palin never banned any books from her local library. But she did look into the matter- with the backing of her church- and fired a librarian that was shocked Palin would ask about such a thing (the librarian was rehired after a public outcry). There’s an implication that if there hadn’t been an outcry [...]

The latest campaign ad from John McCain contends today that his running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, “stopped the Bridge to Nowhere.”
But in truth, Sarah Palin “was for the infamous bridge before she was against it.” AP explains in a Fact Check and the WSJ notes that the “Record Contradicts Palin’s ‘Bridge’ Claims.”
Interestingly, there’s “more than one “bridge to [...]
