From The Hill on Wednesday:
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) wants to hold Rules Committee hearings in September on the presidential primary process, an effort that could remind the public of her party’s contentious nomination battle just two months before the general election.

Waterboarding is now as “American” as “Mom” and “apple pie”
The “distinguished jurist” told them in open hearings and in written communications that he could not call waterboarding “torture,” and reportedly, pravately expressed his fear that doing so might open the gates for some executive department and military officials to lawsuits or criminal prosecution.

Ah, Monday.
Four more days to Friday.
I have a feeling it’s going to be a very long week.

From The Huffington Post:

I’ve been covering the Southern California wildfires here on The Dem Daily, since Sunday night. At first, like many who live here in SoCal, I thought the winds would die down and the firefighters would be able to bring the first few fires under control. No such luck, the fires rage on and the evacuations [...]
