The stimulus package vote today brought Senator Ted Kennedy back to the Hill to cast his vote with fellow Democrats in support of the bill. Watch the brief interview with Kennedy here:
The vote on the stimulus package was 61-36, just one more vote than the 60 votes needed to “move the measure toward Senate passage.”

Sad news…
On this momentous occassion that meant so much to Senator Ted Kennedy, news has broken that Kennedy was striken during the Inaugural Luncheon and was taken from the Capitol by ambulance. Senator Robert Byrd also suffered some health problem around the same time as Kennedy was striken.

Surgeons at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC, performed brain surgery on Senator Ted Kennedy this morning. His doctor has announced that Kennedy is out of surgery and the “procedure to treat his cancerous brain tumor “was successful.””
