Since not every state in the Union is voting tomorrow, national polls have little or no immediate validity. It is the state races that will determine the delegate count after the Feb. 5. voting.

According to reports by AP and CNN, John Edwards will drop out of the 2008 Presidential race where he began it at an appearance in New Orleans. Originally scheduled as a speech on poverty it will instead be used to announce his withdrawal.

In a conference call this morning, California Congresswoman Maxine Waters, strongly endorsed Hillary Clinton.
Summarizing Ms. Waters, she said that HRC had traveled the country listening to the problems of the people. She knew the problems of the urban population and the small towns as well.
