In contrast to the late President Kennedy:
“I think he’s impatient. I think, my summation: He doesn’t like homework. And homework means reading or getting briefed or having a debate. And part of the presidency, part of governing, particularly in this area, is homework, homework, homework.”

If you missed it, be sure to check out Frank Rich’s Sunday column at the NYT. It’s an excellent summation of the election that was. Here are a few key passages:

The Rude One, at The Rude Pundit writes posts that are, by definition, street language and generally rude to the Right. He always backs up his rants with facts and says them in ways that bring home the crisis America faces in ways I can only envy. It’s like having Bill Maher moderate a debate. [...]

Sunday, after several days of heated discussion of the Rolling Stone article by Robert Kennedy Jr, Was the 2004 Election Stolen?, attorney Paul R. Lehto weighed in on the arguments and the issue at OpEdNews.com. In The False-Fake Debate over RFK Jr’s Rolling Stone Article Started by Salon Ignores Democracy and What’s Important, Lehto takes a longer view of the question and the consequences of the debate. Due to the probably unresolvable nature of these arguments, I think Lehto offers a perspective that is more constructive and supports Kennedy’s goal.

On Nov. 2, 2005 as all people to the left of darth Vader (a.k.a. Dick Cheney) look for solace and comfort, perhaps most anger inducing is the fear that Democrats simply cannot appeal to “Middle America,” “The Heartland” “Joe and Mary Sixpack, ” etc. etc. First I call your attention to this article. I just finished reading in disbelief this report from Brian Williams on MSNBC – Now it can be told: Notes on the eve of destruction, and I have question…
Why, if you received this text by email from the National Weather Service, and it was so “incendiary”… It contained such a strong warning… Why did [...]
