The Raleigh News & Observer reports today that “U.S. Rep. Heath Shuler is pledging his support to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, according to a spokesman.”
Shuler, a superdelegate to the National Democratic Convention, had said he would back the candidate who carried his 11th congressional district in Western North Carolina.

Hillary Clinton accepted a key endorsement from N.C. Governor Mike Easley on T. Kicking off his endorsement, Easley said:
“This lady right here makes Rocky Balboa look like a pansy. There’s nothing I love more than a strong powerful woman.”
