The New York Daily News is reporting that a “source close to” Hillary Clinton has ”confirmed she won’t file a formal request to the convention asking to be nominated along with Barack Obama.”
Personally, I’m not surprised at all by this news and have suspected that it was a given that she would not request to be nominated. [...]

AP News is all about jumping the gun today. First they broke with a story that Hillary would concede tonight (see below), and that was wrong. Now they are claiming that by their tally, “Obama effectively clinches nomination.”

Despite the calls from the pundits, surrogates and “creative class” bloggers for Obama, two new polls show strong support for the Democratic race for the nomination to continue.
