The Boston Globe reported today that Senator Ted Kennedy, in a letter, “has privately asked the governor and legislative leaders to change the succession law to guarantee that Massachusetts will not lack a Senate vote when his seat becomes vacant.”
In a personal, sometimes wistful letter sent Tuesday to Governor Deval L. Patrick, Senate President Therese [...]

Senator Arlen Specter’s short days as a Democrat have filled with a lot of turmoil and now “MoveOn.org , is resisting efforts to clear the Democratic primary field for Republican-turned-Democratic.”
The group expressed concern over Specter’s vote against President Obama’s $3.4 billion budget just one day after defecting to the Democratic Party. MoveOn also cited comments [...]

The stimulus bill has passed in the House and the Senate and will now head to President Obama’s desk to be signed. So much for bi-partisanship… not one House Republican supported the bill.
The vote in the House was 246 to 183, with just 7 Democrats joining all 176 Republicans in opposition. In the Senate, [...]

It is amazing she wouldn’t say she voted for her own Presidential candidate. I wonder if this isn’t an example of the problems within the McCain-Palin campaign. [UPDATE: It may be possible that Palin was answering a question about her vote on convicted Senator Ted Stevens when she said she 'would invoke her right to [...]

On Monday, in Colorado, during an interview with NBC affiliate KUSA, Palin was asked a question submitted by a third grader: “What does the vice president do?”
In response, Palin said it was a question her daughter Piper, a second grader, would ask her. And then proceeded to get it wrong: “They’re in charge of the [...]
